It was another beautiful sunny blue skies day outside today, and we are looking forward to more of the same for the next couple of weeks. Spring is truly here and it is here to stay.
The temperatures are getting warmer and warmer everyday, pretty soon it will be the perfect weather for everyone to be able to go for a nice cooling swim in the lake.
It will be a great summer for swimming in the lake and if you don’t like to swim then the fishing should be pretty great, if you don’t like to eat the fish you catch you can always donate them to the Moonridge Animal Park to help feed the bears. They would be very happy for the extra food and it would be fun for the whole family.

On July 11-12 the Big Bear Paddle Fest hosted by North Shore Trading Company is a festival of clinics and races for kayaks and canoes on Big Bear Lake’s North Shore.
For those two days in July you can test your stamina at 6700 ft elevation, or just join a clinic for beginners all the way up to advanced levels. There will be vendors and sponsors there to teach about the latest in paddling gear.

It was a very active day here in our offices we did some reorganizing and decorating.
Our Easter tree is now up and decorated with bunnies, eggs, and flowers. And we also built a new waterfall in the fireplace right next to the tree.
The waterfall is pretty cool, it has several pieces of fools gold scattered throughout the water features as well as a large beautiful amethyst geode. There are green pine branches and pine cones decorating the rock waterfall all around.
It is very lovely and soothing to listen to all day long.

The Easter Bunny is on his way soon, so I want to tell you the story I was told as a child about why the big bunny has a short fluffy tail.
It was one very cold Easter many, many years ago and the bunny was out leaving his treats for all the little boys and girls. Back then the Easter Bunny had a very long luxurious tail much like a tail you would see on a very large squirrel. He was very proud and maybe a little vain about this beautiful tail.
Well, this particular year it was extremely cold out and as the big bunny was hiding the eggs his long tail ended up freezing to the ground. The bunny was very worried about this and no matter how he tried he could not get his tail unfrozen and he ended up tugging on it so hard that his long beautiful tail ended up breaking off only leaving a small fluffy stump. And from that day on all the bunnies the world over no longer have the long tails and are left with the small little cotton tails that we all recognize today.
