Reserve A Great Weekend Today!

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

It may be officially spring out there and the sun is shinning but there is still snow on the ground that has not melted away since the little snow storm this past Sunday.

The days may be sunny and warm but the evenings are staying cool enough that the snow is not melting away very fast. It seems as if Mother Nature has decided to try to give us at least one more good weekend up on the ski slopes.

It is not to late to book a cabin to stay in for this weekend so that you can take advantage of the fresh snow up on the mountains. 1-800-363-8303

Still Time To Enjoy Ski Resorts

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Wow, Big Bear received a fresh dusting of snow over last weekend, 3 inches to be exact!

Just when we thought winter was finished even though the calendar says its Spring, Mother Nature fooled us all and gifted the mountain with a beautiful winter white dusting of fresh powder.

With beautiful blue skies today, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit continue to be in full operation with all runs open. There is still excellent coverage with a deep snow base.

C’mon up and enjoy spring break, make sure to enjoy some of the last seasonal snow.  Tickets are priced at regular season rate, weekends included.

For the biggest discount on ski tickets you can still by a 2009-2010 season pass until the end of April. Use the pass anytime now thru all of next winter season.  Depending upon the pass, some passes pay for themselves in less than five visits.  Prices will go up after May 31st.

Mother Nature Fooled Us Again

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Well, we all thought that we were done with snow for the year, it had been weeks since our last snow that even the ski slopes have stopped making it.

But that is not the case anymore, we actually had a small snow storm this weekend on Sunday. Mother Nature decided to give us just a little more and dropped a couple of inches on Big Bear, which I am sure that all the skiers and snowboarders enjoyed. Though I don’t believe that the mountains will start making snow again at least we did get some fresh real snow on the slopes and is still there if you want to get up here and take advantage of the little bit we did get.

Quick Storm Has Passed

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Well, it has passed, a quick storm to remind us all that Spring weather is not quite here in Big Bear. There is still snow on the ground and the town is lovely all covered in white again.

This week is going to have killer snow conditions at the mountain, with beautiful blue skies, great coverage with all the lifts open from top to bottom, and the slopes practically to yourself, but if you are headed up here, be sure to bundle up because it sure is chilly.

There is no better time to come up to Big Bear, so what are you waiting for?

Family Adventures Throughout Big Bear

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Are you planning a trip to Big Bear with your kids and are not too sure what to do?

Well, let me tell you some of my favorite kid-friendly and kid-fun things to do in this great town. The Moonridge Zoo is a great place to go for all ages, and they offer pony rides for the little ones.

Another fun place is the Bowling Barn, an exciting atmosphere, the whole family can enjoy.

There is also the Baldwin Lake Stables, where you can have a horseback riding adventure. You can feed the ducks, make smores, and tell ghost stories; the possibilities are endless.

Oh, and don’t forget to go to the Discovery Center, I am sure your kids will have a blast learning from the knowledgable workers there about the nature that surrounds us here in Big Bear.
