Well, we just finished our big event! I finally got to meet some of the owners that I talk to on the phone! What a great group of owners we have!
We had some of the best BBQ-tri-tip and chicken Shane could muster! Great salads and desserts!
We panned for gold…and BB’s as well as had a Dutch Oven demo! Some folks have asked for the recipe, so here is the
DUMP CAKE DUTCH OVEN RECIPE…
Ingredients:
1 29 oz. can of sliced peaches
one small can of crushed pineapple
1 box of yellow cake mix (just dry)
2 Tablespoons butter
Dump the peaches and pineapple into a Dutch Oven and mix. Dump the cake mix evenly on top of the fruit.
Drop pieces of butter over the top of the cake mix. Using 16 coals on the top and 12 coals under the Dutch oven, cook for about 40 minutes or until brown. Be sure to occasionally rotate the Dutch oven to avoid scorching in one area. Serve warm, right out of the oven
(You can make this in a conventional over in a rectangular baking pan at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.)
Hope to see you soon!
Susan

We’re getting ready for an owner BBQ- tommorrow, For all of our special owners and friends!!
Lunch time is my favorite time of the day, to get re-energized. Yippy!!
A good place to eat up here in Big Bear that is fast, but restaurant style is MAGGIO”S, you have probably heard about it!
While visiting Big Bear, if you haven’t been there yet, then I recommend you stopping in for the Meatball, salad, lunch special with a drink!!
The staff is friendly, the price is right, and it hits the spot every time! The enviroment is family oriented. Maggio’s is located in the Vons shopping center in Big Bear!!
