Bear Mountain View Cabin, Breathtaking Views and More!

Another beautiful addition to our family here at Gold Rush Resort Rentals is Bear Mountain View.

 

This beautiful two story home sleeps eight guests comfortably, with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.  One the main floor (second level) of Bear Mountain View is one of the three bedrooms with a king size bed.

 

The main living area of this home is huge with a sunken seating area to get toasty by the fireplace. Plenty of seating area in the living room with a huge couch that’s a sofa sleeper and recliners. The kitchen is spacious with an island in the middle for preping and a bar with stool for sitting or eating as well as a dining table.

 

On the lower level of this home is a master bedroom with a king size bed and a fireplace with a private exit to the hot tub on the wrap around deck. This bedroom also has a bathroom with a separate shower and sunken blue tile bathtub with a very beautiful view from the window.

 

The third bedroom has a full bed with a great view. The wrap around deck offers its guests a propane BBQ with breathtaking views of the mountains.

 

This will be a favorite of guests wanting to be close to the slopes. This home also has a laundry room off of the kitchen for your use. Bear Mountain View has breathtaking views from every window in the house, a treat not to be missed.

Cooool, clear, water…

For all of my friends down the hill I just want to say, “I’m sorry!”  It seems you all are having a heat wave and roasting like a Turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

Up here in the Big Bear Valley we are enjoying being out on our cool lake.  Some of us are fishing, some jet skiing, some just enjoying the cool lake breeze!  Yep!  That’s right, it is so nice on the lake you may not want to go back down the hill!

Fly me to the moon…

The 40th anniversary of the world’s first steps on the moon was July 20, 1969.  After landing on the Sea of Tranquility, Moon in the lunar module Eagle, Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first human from Earth to step foot on the surface of the moon!  Some folks thought it was filmed in a sound stage in Hollywood, but most of us knew the truth AND the significance to The United States of America. Buzz Aldrin followed Armstrong on to the surface shortly after!

 

I can remember sitting in front of the TV with my family watching this Historical Event!

 

Did you know that the camera that shot those first images was left on the moon!  That is not very Green!

Flower Power!

Did you know that last weekend was the 68th Annual Flower Show?  Well, it certainly was.  I actually won a ribbon in this competition about 20 years ago.  However, it was at the library, that was in the little building in front of the old fire station that was at the corner of Big Bear Blvd. and Knickerbocker!  This was pre-signal!  Who remembers that?

Anyway,  back to the real story!  This years event took place at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center.  As always, it was sponsored by the Women’s Club of Big Bear Lake.  The theme for this year was  “Bears, Bees, and Buds” . 

All of the entries must be from personal gardens, neighboring gardens or from the forest. I hope you were able to attend and see what Beautiful Big Bear has to offer.

Moonridge Vistas has sweeping views of the slope side!

Moonridge Vistas is a brand new home to our family here at Gold Rush Resort Rentals.

 

This two story home sleeps ten guests. On the first level of this home is the main living area and kitchen with two queen size sofa sleepers. There’s a deck on this level with a BBQ and a spectacular view of the mountains.

 

On the second level of this home are two bedrooms with a full bathroom in-between them. In the first bedroom there is a queen with a twin and in the second bedroom there is a bunk bed with another twin and a half bathroom with the washer and dryer.

Plants, flowers, and trees, OH MY!

It was a busy weekend here in Big Bear!  There was the Xeriscape Tour beginning at Emingers Nursery on Saturday.  You begin there, get your map, and do a self guided tour of the watersaving landscaping happening in here in the valley.

The Women’s Club of Big Bear hosted a flower show at the Civic Center!  It began on July 17 and continued until Saturday!  Hopefully many of you didn’t miss it, it is a sweet affair!
