Can You Guess? Did you know?

Who is 65 years old, has his own website, and is a national icon?  It is Smoky Bear!  His “birthday” is Aug. 8, 2009 and he is still going strong preventing forest fires!

Smokey has no middle name, not even “THE”…but he is the real deal.  Go to his website…www.smokeybear.com and take the “Get Your Smokey On Pledge” and play some games.  You have to be at least 13 to take the pledge! 

So come on up and check out the Smokey Bear discounts at the Discovery Center as well as keeping an eye out for ol’ Smokey himself!  They don’t call it Big Bear for nothing!
