The Swim Beach located within Meadow Park is now officially open for the season. The current lake temperatures are in the 60s. Qualified, certified lifeguards are on staff and a snack bar is also open for convenience.
The white sandy beach is surrounded by Meadow Park which offers BBQs and picnic areas for those who wish to endulge themselves by making it an day or evening picnic etc. An extra treat for sunbathers is showers in the area to rinse off the sand before getting in the car.
A brand new 16 foot slide is installed and ready for kids! Hours of operation are currently noon to 5pm on both Saturdays and Sundays.
June 18, the Swim Beach will be open every day. The beach is located at the western-most end of Park Avenue at Meadow Park in Big Bear Lake, and admission cost is $5 for adults, and $4 for seniors and children up to age 12; season passes are also available.
The beach will also serve as the setting for the Fourth of July concert featuring Lou Gramm of Foreigner. Many great, lakeview seats are still available, and proceeds will benefit the Rec & Park’s Teen Center programs. For ticket information, visit BigBearParks.com, or call 866-9700.
