Read on for more information about this incredible venue!

Introducing the one and the only, Freak Show Deluxe! Witness incredible attractions that’ll make your stomach squirm and churn with dangerous feats like the Blockhead, Bed of Nails, Eat a Light Bulb, Glass Walking, Sword Swallowing, and such. Like the voice from a bygone era, the Freak Show Deluxe comes straight out of America’s mythology. See stunt shows by the world famous Monte Perlin. You’ve seen his motorcycle stunts in movies like Bedtime Stories, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Rush Hour 3, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and the list goes deep in his 25-year career as a Hollywood stunt man. He and his team will be performing in the intense Globe of Death, with thrilling street stunts, and cool trials exhibitions. Also on the entertainment card, featuring the famous animals from the company, and Big Bear’s own resident, – Predators in Action, Randy Miller professional trainer will be onsite with his beloved bears, tigers, and other co-workers that were in such films as the Gladiator, Last Samurai, Semi-Pro, Transformers 2, and past decades of Hollywood entertainment. Randy Miller was the winner of the first ever World Stunt Academy Award for his outstanding work on Gladiator. Performing on stage is the hilarious Little Kiss, made up of little people playing Kiss cover songs. And finally, after a full day of diverse entertainment, our headlining music is the revved-up rockabilly band from the Bay Area – The Chop Tops.

New for this year, Big Bear Choppers will be hosting a VIP lounge for their customers. So if you’re a customer that charged the hill on a Big Bear Chopper to the top of the mountain for the party, you’ll be treated like a king with an exclusive tent next to the factory big rig, preferred parking in the very front, refreshments, and an exclusive shirt with a VIP badge to wear. BBC is serious when they say once you buy one of their bikes, you’re a part of the family, yet set apart from the rest.

Cash is king. So what better prizes to give the Poker Run and Bike Show winners than cash money! Winner of the Poker Run receives $1,000 cash, with cash also going to second and third place winners. Bike Show categories are BBC Customer Builds, BBC Factory Builds, and an anything goes Open Class. $500 will be going to the winner of each class, with cash going to second and third place winners.

No need to mess with success, Snow Summit Mountain Resort is the perfect host for 10,000 bikers with the proper restaurants, bars, parking, and other amenities to make everybody comfortable and satisfied. Ride the chair lift to the top of the mountain for the best view in the southland. Portion of the proceeds go to the benevolent fund and food pantry at Community Church to aid Big Bear families in desperate need.

Come meet Criss Angel Mindfreak at the Big Bear Choppers facility on Sunday at 1:00pm. See filming for his next Mindfreak 5 season with Big Bear Choppers’ Kevin and Mona Alsop presenting a custom Mindfreak bike to Criss Angel. Mindfreak is an AE prime-time show in it’s 5 season that re-invents todays magic with a unique mix of old school and modern practices. Criss Angel will be giving autographs and will have his merchandise available for sale Saturday and Sunday.

Ride Big Bear’s famous twisties into the fresh air and witness a little Hollyweird at the top of the mountain. Sponsored by Quickthrottle, Bikernet and Thunderpress magazines.

I love my job, but…

The Jim Hall Trout Classic isn’t even over and George Buruss from the San Diego area caught a 13.83-pound TROUT yesterday!  That wasn’t the biggest plant for this tournament, the big one is still waiting for YOU!  If I wasn’t working, I would be fishing…guess what I am doing tomorrow?

The third largest fish caught, so far, is a 5.81 pounder.  Who needs prize money with a fish that big?  The final weigh in is happening as I type.

The weather is perfect up here, so grab your pole and call me for a reservation!  We have cabins available and our mid-week specials are really HOT!

Gimme a call!

Another sunny Saturday in Big Bear!

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

As you know the Jim Hall Memorial Trout Classic is today and there are a lot of folks out on the lake trying to catch the big one…actually, there are lots of big ones!  I wish I was out there, but someone has to pay the bills!  I plan on being out there fishing first thing Monday morning!

This morning, before work, I put together my compost bin and filled it with citrus peels, grass clippings, and egg shells!  I am excited that I can keep that out of the land fill AND make my soil richer!!! I fed my worms, in their happy home, and it is looking like they prefer old lettuce to old banana peels!

I tell you, if you can’t make it up here this summer you are robbing yourself of some of the best joys of nature!

Give me a call and we will find the right cabin for your group!
