May16-17th is the May Trout Classic with lots of prizes to be won.
May 23rd is the Fire Safety Kick-Off/ Concert Series Opener at the Discovery Center also on the 23rd Big Bear Valley Historical Museum opens for the summer season.
This is exciting, May the 23rd-25th is our Spring Air Home & Garden Show at the Convention Center.
The 24th brings us the Bear Country Fair at the Moonridge Animal Park and the 30th is the Big Bear Wine Festival at the Convention Center.

Getting Warmer Temperatures For Spring
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009It was another beautiful sunny blue skies day outside today, and we are looking forward to more of the same for the next couple of weeks. Spring is truly here and it is here to stay.
The temperatures are getting warmer and warmer everyday, pretty soon it will be the perfect weather for everyone to be able to go for a nice cooling swim in the lake.
It will be a great summer for swimming in the lake and if you don’t like to swim then the fishing should be pretty great, if you don’t like to eat the fish you catch you can always donate them to the Moonridge Animal Park to help feed the bears. They would be very happy for the extra food and it would be fun for the whole family.
