Larger storm expected Friday

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

The gray clouds are overhead, and there is a crisp chill in the air. The mini storm has rolled through leaving us with less than an inch of snow. Friday is supposed to be much larger, expected to bring up to several inches of snow.

The consensus around town is that we are over Winter, ready for the warm weather. So hopefully the cold weather system will pass by us quickly so we get on with Spring here in Big Bear!

Gorgeous Weather & Ski Conditions

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Well, it is gorgeous outside, but it sure is chilly. And we are definitely expecting some more April Showers, already. And showers in Big Bear, means snow in Big Bear. So that means the ski resorts will have a longer opportunity to stay open.

As of right now, Bear Mountain Ski Resort is scheduled to close Easter Sunday, and Snow Summit will go on a daily basis after that. So now is the time to book, before the snow is gone!
