winterscene

What a treat this morning held for all us locals in Big Bear California. Everything was white…Yep we got some snow!!! Not too much but just enough to make everything covered in white.

So now I’ve got a fire going and we’re sipping on hot coffee and humming Christmas carols….la…la…la la.

Wow, our homes are filling up quick for the holidays but we do still have some great homes available for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have some “Cool Deals” for both of these holidays, like stay for two nights and get a free night for the Thanksgiving holiday, this special is for certain homes so make sure to ask about our specials when calling our office at 1 (800) 363-8303.

Visit our website at www.cabin411.com or if you want to check out our Christmas Specials visit our website at www.santascabins.com .

How cool is this, we here at Gold Rush Resort Rentals have lowered our minimum night stay from 5 nights to 3 nights so everyone can afford to come up and enjoy the holidays in the beautiful mountains of Big Bear California. We even have Santa who has been kind enough to visit our guests while they’re in our homes.

Want to find out how you can get in on all the holiday festivities? Well, hop on a phone and call to talk to one of Santa’s Helper’s at 1 (800) 363-8303 and we’ll be more than happy to help you have a wonderful holiday……Bre THINK SNOW

Snow Summit and Bear Moutain, The Best Ski Resorts in Southern California

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Wow, Christmas 2008 was one of the whitest Christmases Big Bear has experienced in a very long time! Big Bear Lake, Ca. had the largest snow fall in 35 years! We got so much snow that Cal. Trans had difficulty in keeping up, the City actually closed roads all over, the only vehicles allowed on the streets were police and emergency vehicles. Snow conditions at Snow Summit and Bear Mtn. are exceptional, 100% open with terrain covering a staggering 438 acres.

Big Bear Lake in Southern California is the proud home of two premier ski resorts. Each resort has its own favorite with skiers and snowboarders. Everyday skiers looking for a kick back friendly winter play ground make their choice Snow Summit, while other enthusiasts prefer Bear Mountain because of its freestyle terrain. Bear Mountain is noted to be the only mountain resort in the United States mainly dedicated to offering freestyle terrain. Both resorts are popular with all levels of experience. Their state of the art snowmaking technology sets both resorts apart from other ski resorts in Southern California.
